Thai smile to join as Star Alliance 连接中 partner
Seems our prayers have been heard - it has been announced that WE will join as 连接中 partner in Star Alliance. Expected to happen by end of this year.

As we move towards the end of the year, is this already in place 要么 is there a confirmed date? I will be flying HKG - BKK on WE 连接中 the following day on TG to BOM, same PNR. Will I be eligible to use *G benefits in HKG?

So WE became a Star Alliance Connecting Partner on 25 Feb 2020 with very little fanfare. I still don't understand what the big deal this 连接中 model is. All they did was having WE join the LH 迈尔斯 和 More program. They don't need Star Alliance to do that just like A3 having OA join multiple Star FFP's without signing up to the 连接中 model.
